The Midrashic Impulse
I don't usually write directly about my main project, but I'll be blogging every now and then over at a friend's blog, and I've just written a post on what I call the "midrashic impulse." The challenge was to write a brief summary of what I'm working on for an audience of educated people who are not in my field. Little do they know, it's often hard enough to explain my project to people who are in my field...

The phrase "midrashic impulse" really spurs my imagination... I like it. Makes me wonder if this is something that is present in all human beings? Present/manifest or Present/latent? Or is it something that's only present (even potentially present) in some human beings? What is the source, y'know? Can it really be taught, or can it only be refined and exercised?
It was extremely interesting for me to read this blog. Thanx for it. I like such topics and everything connected to them. I would like to read a bit more on that blog soon.
